Detox Diet Recipe - Hummus

Hummus - is a quick and easy to make and you can relish the thought that chickpeas are one to the riches sauce of anticancer agent called protease inhibitors.  Chickpeas also help lower blood cholesterol.   The tahini - sesame seed paste provide the fat - which is approximately 90% unsaturated and high in antioxidant and Vitamin E.  Try spread it on bread or rice cake.

Ingredient For Hummus

450 g (1lb) can of chickpeas, drained
8 tbsp of tahini
juice of 2 lemons
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
1/4 tsp ground cumin
chopped parsley to garnish

Preparation Method For Hummus

Put everything except the parsley in a food processor or blender and whiz until the mixture is smooth.  Serve hummus either  slightly chilled or at room temperature with chopped parsley sprinkled on top.
