Liver Detox: Diet Plan and Sample Recipe

Our liver plays a very important role to our well-being. Liver activity includes processing of food in our intestines; controlling level of fats, amino acids and glucose in our blood; combating infection in our body, and all the other 500 liver functions. Because of this, it is very important that we keep it healthy by detoxifying our liver. This liver detoxification process can be started on any given.

 

Simple guideline as to how you can detoxify your liver in a matter of 2 weeks:

  1. Morning exercises. Take a short run or jog or a brisk walk everyday preferably in the morning. Do the simple breathing exercises every day and practice breathing deeply through the diaphragm.
  2. Drink the liver detoxification mixture (see below) everyday along with 2 cups of herbal tea that is designed to cleanse the liver.
  3. Always consume organic, healthy foods only.
  4. Continue consuming the liver detoxification formula for two or three more weeks depending upon your desired results.
  5. To help rebuild the liver after the liver detoxification, take Milk thistle. This herb has been known in the world to be the most powerful help in combating liver diseases. There has already been readily available Milk Thistle mixture, tablets or powdered concentrates in stores selling organic medicines. Ingest 3 tablets, 3 times per day; this is approximately equivalent to 150mg. If you preferred to use the mixture, consume 20 drops, 3 times per day. Do this for a few weeks after your liver detoxification.
  6. The benefit of abdominal massage often gets overlooked. During the period of liver detoxification, you may opt to include in your daily exercises a slight massage in your abdominal area. This strengthens your abdominal walls while it also helps cure constipation.

 

Liver Detoxification Mixture

Select only fresh citrus fruits and extract all their juices. Common examples are grapefruit, orange, persian lime, pummel, and calamondin. Combine all extractions as the more the sour the taste, the cleansing and healing properties is also optimized. Add 1-2 cloves of minced garlic and a drop or two of ginger root juice and 1 tablespoon of quality olive oil. Mix all this in a blender and serve.
